Who we are

FanPanel is operated by The Glade Group, contactable at contact@thegladegroup.com. We are the data controller for information collected through fanpanel.app.

What we collect

If you vote without an account, we store an anonymous identifier in your browser, the votes you cast, timestamps, and where you arrived from. This isn't linked to your identity. If you create an account, we additionally hold your email address, the club you support, your authentication method, and your voting history. We do not collect payment details, and we do not ask for your name, address or date of birth.

Why we use it

Vote data produces the rankings — that's the service itself. We use technical identifiers to prevent one person voting repeatedly and distorting results, which we rely on legitimate interests for, as the rankings would be worthless without it. Account data lets you access your personal results. Attribution data tells us which channels bring people to the site, and we ask for your consent before collecting it. Push notifications are sent only if you opt in, and you can withdraw that at any time.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We use Supabase for database and authentication services, and our hosting provider to run the site — both process data on our behalf under contract. If you sign in with Google or Apple, they confirm your identity to us; we receive your email address and nothing more. Some providers operate outside the UK, in which case transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Published rankings

Aggregate results, sample sizes and breakdowns by fanbase are published publicly and archived permanently. These are aggregated figures — no individual's votes are ever published or identifiable.

How long we keep it

Vote records and archived rankings are retained indefinitely, as the historical record is the point of the project. Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days of closure. Votes already incorporated into published rankings can't be withdrawn from those aggregates, but they're anonymised on deletion.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent where you've given it. Email contact@thegladegroup.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Age

FanPanel isn't intended for children under 13. If you're under 13, please don't create an account. If we learn we hold data for a child under 13, we'll delete it.

Changes

We'll update the date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be flagged on the site.

Necessary — always active

• A randomly generated identifier stored in your browser, used to apply voting limits and keep results consistent.
• Your light or dark mode preference.
• If signed in, a session token keeping you logged in.

The site cannot function without these.

Attribution — only with your consent

Where you arrived from, so we can understand which channels bring people to FanPanel. Declining has no effect on anything you can do here.
